As of 2024, we are transitioning towards a more hands-on approach to grant making by actively identifying partnership opportunities and developing long-term relationships with our donees.
However, we will continue to welcome inquiries from registered charities. Using our Contact page, please send us a brief email summarizing your funding needs (be specific). If we feel that your organization and your needs fit with the interests of the YP Heung Foundation, we will request a formal proposal.

Check out the “Featured Programs” section on our Arts + Culture, Health, and Education pages to see some of the programs we have supported over the years. We will consider all proposals so long as they fit within our three focus areas and serve communities in British Columbia.

Given everyone's busy schedules, we do not schedule meetings unless we already have a proposal in hand. We have a very comprehensive website detailing our interests and the types of programs/projects we support.

We do not fund out-of-province organizations. However, we are willing to consider proposals that have a strong focus on BC.

We do not have any deadlines. We accept proposals on on-going basis and will review them as we receive them.

We do not have a set range for donations. We review funding requests on a case-by-case basis

The Y. P. Heung Foundation does not directly provide scholarships to students. To find out how to receive a scholarship, please contact the appropriate office at your post-secondary institution.

We will try our best to give you our decision as soon as possible. However, this can take anywhere from a couple weeks to two months.
